Clearing or not setting pane history ?

Happy New Year all;

Is there a way to clear the dir line history in the panes ? Or could there
be
an option not to include directories in the history ?

I use e2 as a browser in an archive viewing program. The archive is
unpacked into the tmp directory and then e2 launched to view the results.
Then the directory is removed.

Thus any history of directories from this activity is useless as the
directories no longer exist. Ideally, for this activity having a command
option to not add to the dir line history would prevent all this from
entering the history.

Actions:
dirline.del_history, which by default is bound to <Alt>Delete
dirline.clear_history ... <Shift><Alt>Delete

Or could there be
an option not to include directories in the history ?

Remember, you can choose to 'manually' manage the history, via config option
history > autoupdate
